Leicester Beer Festival 2006
Harry Cragg "Beer of the Festival"
For the second
year running, we opened the Leicester Beer Festival on Wednesday
evening to CAMRA Members and trade guests. This year saw a
significant increase in attendance with 292 visitors.
Once again, the
opportunity was taken to judge the Harry Cragg “Beer of the
Festival” by using a mixture of experienced tasters and volunteers.
This year the tasters were split over nine tables and tasted 8 beers
each totalling 72 beers. All beers tasted conform to the Champion
Beer of Britain criteria for nomination through the Branch.
Congratulations
to all the winners, we will try and arrange presentations over the
next few months for as many as we can.
