Pub of the Month January 2006 - The New Inn, Enderby
On
Wednesday 18th January, we were on our travels again
to present our “Pub Of The Month” award.
The January 2006
award went to The New Inn, High Street, Enderby. This is an
Everards pub, which must be the closest one to their brewery.
For 9 years now, tenant, Mick Hall and his wife Lindsay have run
it. Mick prides himself on the quality of his beer and likes to
have a Guest Beer on at all times.
With most of
Leicester Committee Members present as well as a couple of
Hinckley and Bosworth Sub-Branch Committee, Mick and Lindsay
were presented with their well-earned “Pub Of The Month”
certificate for January 2006.
Mick said “It’s
nice to be recognized by the members of CAMRA for the hard work
we put in to running our pub” and thanked us for his award. We
then set about the vast amount of sandwiches that suddenly
appeared. Needless to say, we all had a pleasant evening.
K Williams.
