Fri 3rd - Sun 5th - (NON CAMRA) -
The Black Horse, Aylestone.
Friday Night - Comedy in the Marquee! Just £5 will get you in
to our 800 square foot marquee for 2 hours or more of fantastic
stand-up from nationally-acclaimed comics. Headlining the
night will be Tom Wrigglesworth (one of the best comedians
about) and the compere will be Damion Larkin ("One of the
country's top new acts" - BBC). Smug Roberts (pal of Peter
Kaye) and Isma Almas will also be present. ANy of those four
could easily have headlined, which shows the calibre of the
acts. Don't forget there will be more too... (plus another
four Thursday nights of great comedy in July). Saturday
Afternoon - Hog roast - the hog should be cooked in time to
dish it up at 3pm - anyone for crackling? Saturday Night - Get
your dancing shoes on for a good old ceilidh / barn dance!
Sunday Afternoon - From 2pm, Roger the Puppet Man will keep the
kids amused with Punch & Judy Shows, Balloon Modelling, Giant
Bubbles etc...Sunday Afternoon - The Caribbean Regals Steel Pan
Trio will be providing the music to help the odd ale or cider
go down. From 3pm to 7pm. Sunday Afternoon - Big BBQ from 3pm

The 9th
Annual Riverside Music & Beer Festival, Stamford
Meadows. |

Gates open
at 12 noon and the Festival will finish with a
fabulous firework finale at 10.40pm. The Festival
operates on a not-for-profit basis and although
admission is free we do ask our audience to make a
small donation to help with the costs of staging
the event. The day will provide nearly 11
hours of non stop entertainment, featuring four
main stages of live music featuring more than 40
bands and 150+ musicians, Stamford’s largest beer
and cider festival once again featuring a wide
variety of real ales and ciders in a 200’ long bar,
traditional fun fair, children’s entertainment as
well as opportunities to taste food from across the
world and take part in a little retail therapy.
The
Riverside Beer Festival is back again but with EVEN
MORE BEER! 100% of the proceeds from every drink
sold goes to charity, 50% to support the staging of
the Riverside Festival and 50% to our Beer Festival
Partners Bourne Round Table to support their own
good causes. Once again our aim is to provide good
quality drinks at good value prices, and our Beers
will be on sale at just £2.50 a pint for all beers,
ciders and lagers. Our 200’ long bar will feature
three bars a Real Ale & Cider Bar, The Riverside
Pub Style Bar and an Express Can Bar, and with a
Pimms and Wine Bar located in our Acoustic Tent we
hope that you will be able to find something to
tickle your taste buds. The Beer Festival will have
over 60 traditional beverages on sale. Chose from
over 40 real ales selected primarily from local
breweries by buying local beers you can support the
environment as well. Our featured local breweries
include Newby Wyke; Oakham Ales; Oldershaw and
Batemans. There will also be selected brews from
Hook Norton; Otley; Salopian; Old Mill; Bays
Brewery; Lancaster Brewery and Everards. Amongst
the ales is a unique Riverside Festival Ale only
available at the festival. So why not try it out!
We will also be featuring around 20 proper English
ciders to refresh the palate and challenge the
braincells! |
